The following information applies both compositely and specifically. Please ensure that you read this page with our Repair Service Terms and Conditions for the repairs that we perform in our shop prior to check in!

Generic Repair Service Terms:

By checking a system in under ANY REPAIR SERVICE, clients agree to the following terms:

All repair service terms listed on this page. Excepting where not enforceable by Washington State Law. Excepting where not applicable to the type of repair or circumstance. The primary term in the appropriate category shall preside, except where multiple terms apply equally. Fees from different categories are additive and compoundable based on circumstance(s). AugyTek LLC. reserves the right to modify, without notice, any repair service term(s) based on changes to the repair industry or laws.

Computer check-in service fees of Standard, Rush, and Critical are paid at the time of check-in. These are non-refundable fees for the type of work performed and/or speed of service expediting. There are ZERO exceptions.

Scheduled Appointments: Computer repairs are processed on a first come first serve basis. (This may not include Rush services based on circumstance(s). It DOES NOT include Critical service check ins, which are appointment required)

A drop off appointment can be made, but it does not guarantee immediate bench placement depending on service selected. Drop off appointments will be subject to the Late/No Call No Show/Rescheduling fees as below.

All other types of scheduled appointments – Terms are as follows:

Rescheduling or Late Appointments:

If a client reschedules an appointment within 2 hours of the scheduled appointment, a $50 Late Rescheduling Fee applies. This is added onto their check in/check out invoice. The only exception is if an appointment is made at a time slot within the next 2 hours. The client may call back within a reasonable time frame, not to exceed 30 minutes to avoid this fee.

Late Rescheduling Fees may be waived entirely at AugyTek LLC’s discretion under certain extenuating circumstances. This is solely at AugyTek LLC’s discretion.

Clients showing up 15 minutes or later after their scheduled appointment time will subject to a $40 dollar late fee. In addition, completing the scheduled repair may be delayed depending on technician repair workload. This fee may be waived, solely at AugyTek’s discretion.

No Call No Show Appointments:

A $100 fee. This fee must be paid at the next check in. (In addition to any service check in fees) There is no waiver for this fee. No repair services will be performed until this fee is paid.

No Call No Show unpaid fees will be deleted at the end of a quarter. The client’s account and name will be blacklisted from AugyTek LLC’s client list and be refused services permanently. When our automated online scheduling system eventually goes online, it will do this once per month.

Phone Repair Service Terms:

Phone repairs and pricing are as listed on the Cell Phone Repair Page. These are set prices based on shipping, average time of repair, and cost of labor and parts. Estimated completion times are simply estimations. Unforeseen circumstances may cause a delay in the repair(s). The client agrees to hold AugyTek LLC and it’s technicians harmless for any such delays. The client is not entitled to a discount, or any other reparations thereof.

Sometimes it is unknown if a standard offered repair may or may not fix a client’s device. A repair can proceed with a “logical deduction” for the type of repair needed.

If any repair cannot be completed due to later discovered circumstances that were unknown at check in:
(Such as, but not limited to) Excessive water damage, Proprietary part damage, or damage beyond the scope of original repair assessment, etc. etc.

The client agrees to pay for 1 hour of labor to cover the time spent in assessment.

In Shop Labor Rate:  $75 per hour. ($100 per hour as of October 1st, 2022)

Additional Work to restore functionality:

The client agrees to pay for additional costs if the repair can be completed with a reasonable amount additional work.

This work is classified as parts and/or labor required to make the device fully functional with normal operation.
(Such as, but not limited to) Replacing screws, small part replacement, additional component replacement, etc. etc.

Consider the following example scenario:

A client checks a phone in under a certain model of phone. It is later discovered to be a different model of phone. (For example a client checks in a phone claiming it is an iPhone 11 when it‘s an iPhone 11 Pro)

If the correct part is in stock, it will be used for the repair, and the final balance due at checkout will be adjusted. Client agrees to pay the difference, if any, then what was assessed upon check in.

In the difference of model example circumstance: (With no correct part in stock)

A client will wait until the proper part can be delivered to AugyTek LLC. in order to complete the repair. Already broken parts being removed typically tend to break them further.

AugyTek LLC assumes no liability in a client electing not to wait for proper part delivery. AugyTek LLC’s technicians will not reassemble the device if it poses a significant risk of further damage or malfunction in doing so.

The client is still subject to the 1 hour labor charge for the assessment and labor involved in disassembly.

If device reassembly can be reasonably done in a proper manner without further damage to the device:

The client is still subject to the 1 hour labor charge. Client also agrees to hold AugyTek LLC and it’s technicians harmless for any further malfunction or non operation of the device once reassembled with the already broken part.

Repair Service Terms for Shipping, Parts, and Labor:

Repair Service Terms for Parts and Shipping can vary greatly. This depends on the type of device and repair that is being performed. The following shall serve as typical examples of scenarios and terms, but shall not be considered and exhaustive list. AugyTek LLC reserves the right to modify policies based on conditions warranted by each individual scenario, without notice.

Shipping: AugyTek LLC uses common logistical carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and USPS for domestic shipping. All shipping ETA’s provided to customers are ESTIMATES. This may or may not accurately reflect the actual arrival timeframe of a part.

AugyTek LLC’s does not have direct control over these matters. A client is not entitled to monetary compensation, discounts, shipping waivers, or other reparations, due to foreseen/unforeseen delays. This applies equally to foreign country of origin packages when applicable.

A client may opt to cancel their order under these conditions. However a fee equivalent to 50% of the final invoice that would have been due at pickup will be assessed. This is to cover restocking fees and return shipping fees that AugyTek LLC will incur as a result.

Parts:

Unless otherwise stated in another section, repair service terms for parts is as follows:

All parts (including combinations of parts) over $300 dollars retail value will be subject to deposit/prepayment, and/or payment clearing. This is at AugyTek LLC’s sole discretion based on circumstance(s).

In most cases, due to liability insurance restrictions, we cannot use client provided repair parts for any types of repairs.

However, there are exceptions to this as long as the part is not a critical system component.  Examples of these non critical components would be things like:

  • Hard Drive or 2.5″ Solid State Drive, Optical Drives
  • RAM “sticks”
  • Graphics Cards (Desktop only)
  • Case fans (Desktop only)

AugyTek LLC assumes no responsibility for any malfunction/incompatibility of the provided part once installed. The client agrees to pay the charges (labor and/or otherwise) associated with correcting such scenarios.

In Shop Labor Rate:  $75 per hour. ($100 per hour as of October 1st, 2022)

This is our generic charge per hour for in shop labor.  Our labor estimates that we give out are typically very accurate, and based on a pro-rated system.  Additionally, if more issues are found once a repair is started, the client will be notified with an updated cost before any further work is performed.

The most complex jobs usually have a limit of 3 hours, however there are certain special scenario repairs we know can take longer.  If we encounter such a scenario, we will do our best to create an affordable repair scenario that works for your situation!

Storage and Abandonment Terms:

Storage Fees

A client has 72 hours to pick up their device after notified of completion.  After this period has elapsed, a $10 per day storage fee will apply.  This does not apply to jobs completed with no additional balance due. This does not apply to jobs waiting on customer response and not categorized as abandoned.

The following circumstances DO NOT excuse this storage fee:  (Including but not limited to)

  • Dead/turned off cell phone
  • Voice mail box full
  • Forgot
  • Waiting until payday
  • No method of transportation available
  • Work schedule/Store operation hours conflict
  • Unannounced Extended Vacations

Abandoned Systems:

AugyTek LLC will attempt to contact a client with a completed repair and balance due up to 3 times. Under heavy workloads, attempts to contact may not be consistent.

All systems with no customer response for at least 15 calendar days will be considered abandoned by the client. After an additional grace period of 5 days (20 total from last attempted contact date) the data on these systems will be wiped and the device will be recycled. Recycling fees will be posted to the client’s account.

Storage fees can include up to 20 days. ($200) These fees are due at time of pickup.

In cases of Abandonment, this will also result in the client’s account being locked for further services until all fees are paid.
