General Updates:
First off, a belated welcome back to all of the WSU and U of I students! We hope that the 2025/2026 school year is a good one for you all!
Due to popular demand, we are returning to being open to the public! In addition to this, we now have texting capability for those that wish to receive text updates on the status of their repair!
As such we have had a soft roll out of being open to the public and the response has been overwhelming, and a big heartfelt thank you to all of our patrons! Our existing and future clients can check here for updated information!
Updated Plans!!
The main sales floor area is still closed. A major rework of it is ongoing. Everything has been inventoried and if you are looking for something we can easily run a search for it in our Point of Sale system that has had numerous updates over the year. The completion does not currently have an ETA.
We are going to be typically open from 11am to 530pm Monday through Friday for check-ins, pick ups, and general business to the public. Currently, Saturdays are by appointment only. This may be subject to change depending on demand and workload. Our services we offer still remain the same. Our Computer Repair Services page has more info!
As AI takes the stage, we have redirected efforts in utilizing this technology to build an appointment scheduling system, online store, and general website improvements!
Our eBay store has become a priority focus for 2025 into 2026. We will hopefully have a wide selection by the holiday season. Local pickup is still an option! (Link to eBay at bottom)
Appointment Scheduling reminders:
Although we will once again be open to the public, we are resuming the first come first serve for walk ins. Our higher Tier Rush and Critical check in services will still receive priority as stated in the service descriptions. As mentioned above, we will not be changing any of the services we offer.
We still request that you make an appointment for all cell phone type repairs. It’s easy to schedule an appointment block for this type of repair. We do add a $25 walk in convenience fee for non scheduled cell phone repairs.
If your part is not in stock, we waive this fee. However, pre-payment in full is required up front as listed on our Cell Phone Repair page.
If you call our store line, we may not always be able to answer the phone right away. Please leave your name, number, and type of repair that you are interested in, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Please note that for messages containing inquiries about types of repairs that we do not offer, messages that do not leave their phone number or type of repair they need, we will not return the call. There has been a surge of AI based telemarketing calls requesting a call back with no additional information given. We have verified that these are from spam or scam marketing, and we advise everyone to be vigilant with their own messaging monitoring, for business and consumers alike.
Money and the tech industry
By now, virtually everyone has heard about the ongoing Tariffs and various political strife accompanied with them. Political stuff aside, yes, we can confirm a price increase in various types of parts across the board. Some increases were only marginal, while others were significant depending on the type of part.
Labor rates: We here at AugyTek have not raised our rates or changed types/costs of labor for nearly 10 years (Feb. 2026 will mark the 10 years) We believe in keeping our costs down for our consumers, and you get an amazing value when using our services because of all the things that our check in services include. There is not a better value for your dollars, anywhere. We have painstakingly researched that over the years.
That being said, with the ongoing rising cost of overhead, taxes, supplies, and even utility increases, we are finally being forced to adjust our pricing to either a real time cost, or increase the cost of our Tier services. We do not want to take away from our packages, but that consideration is also on the table as we figure out what we can do to accommodate the rising costs of doing business in the tech industry in general.
The solution:
In our research for solutions, we have found that prices greatly vary depending on area and population, but there are some places that are in excess of two or three hundred dollars just to even look at a machine, let alone repair costs involved. We are sure that we will not need to go to that scenario, however with the ever increasing costs of just keeping the doors open, it is a very bleak future to think about.
We have tentatively set March 2026 as the deadline for changing any pricing or structures with our general services, and will give plenty of notice ahead of the changes before that time. Regarding parts, as we receive pricing updates from our distributors, we will modify this website to reflect them.
Final thoughts from AugyTek
We greatly appreciate the patience and understanding as we continue to implement these major changes!
We look forward to helping people still get the affordable quality repairs that they need in the Moscow/Pullman area and surrounding cities!
